'To date, 165 public schools across Gaza have reopened,' says spokesperson

The ministry said in a statement yesterday that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached more than 13,054, and 21,320 were injured. Meanwhile, 123 students were killed in the West Bank and 671 others were injured, in addition to 560 arrested.

The Director General of Police in the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Salah, together with his deputy, Hussam Mustafa Shawan, have been martyred in the Israeli airstrike on southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued Tuesday it said 542 students were detained while the number of teachers and administrative staff killed amounted to 630, with a further 3,865 injured.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Gaza said 12,820 Palestinian students in Gaza and occupied West Bank have lost their lives by Israeli forces since the regime unleashed its genocidal war on the besieged strip in October 2023.

​​​​​​​The Ministry said in a statement that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached more than 12,681, and those who were injured reached 20,311, while in the West Bank 118 students were killed and 631 others were injured, in addition to the arrest of 538.

The Ministry of Education said 11,923 Palestinian students across the occupied Gaza and West Bank have been killed and nearly 19,200 others wounded since the Israeli regime unleashed its genocidal war against the besieged strip on October 7 last year.

In a statement issued yesterday, the ministry detailed that over 10,888 students have been killed and 17,224 injured in Gaza alone, while in the West Bank, 113 students have been killed and 548 wounded. Additionally, 429 students have been arrested.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Education, more than 600,000 students in the besieged Gaza Strip are denied learning opportunities with the educational centers and infrastructures damaged or totally destroyed due to Israeli genocidal war on the besieged enclave.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education said more than 10,000 students have been killed and over 16,400 others injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7, 2023.

The Ministry said that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached more than 9,138, and those who were injured reached 14,671, while in the West Bank, 103 students were killed and 505 others were injured.

The Palestinians Ministry of Education announced more than 8,672 Palestinian students have been killed and 14,583 others wounded since Israeli regime began its genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7.

Education explained in a statement issued on Tuesday that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression surged to more than 5,994, as those who were injured reached 9,890, while in the West Bank, 56 students were killed and 329 others were injured, adding that 105 students were detained.

The Ministry said in a statement, that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached to 5,213, and those who were injured reached 8,691, while in the West Bank, 47 students were killed and 294 others were injured, in addition to 94 arrests.

At least 3,141 Palestinian students have been killed and 45 schools shattered since Israeli escalation against the besieged Gaza Strip followed the October 7 Operation al-Aqsa Storm.

Located in the occupied Palestinian village of Jibb Al-Deeb in the outskirts of West Bank city of Bethlehem, the school is now open to its 45 students on the site of its former building, and began its school year with the Palestinian national anthem.

During the demonstration, students raised banners condemning all forms of violence and murder, including “Arab blood is not cheap,” “Yes, we bear responsibility and we face it responsibly,” and “The police are partners in crime.”

Dozens of Palestinian students have been injured as Israeli forces targeted a school in the Occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Palestinian Ministry of Education announced eight students have been martyred and a number of others wounded in Israel’s five days of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

Mahmoud al-Saadi, 18, was killed by the Israeli army on his way to school from the Jenin refugee camp, Palestinians say.
