“Imam Reza, axis of unity among Islamic denominations”
A member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts has called Imam Reza (AS) as a symbol of unity among Islamic denominations in Iran and across the Muslim world.

Ayatollah Haidar Al-e Kasir, made the remarks in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted ahead of the birth anniversary of the eighth Shia Imam.
He referred to millions of pilgrims, from all Islamic denominations across Iran and the world of Islam arriving to visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and said,” The eighth Shia Imam, throughout his life, has been enlightening for the Islamic nation in order to boost their unity and improve their knowledge.”
The senior cleric said,” Imam Reza (AS) is an axis of unity in the world of Islam; hence, the holy shrine of the eighth Shia Imam has stepped up its efforts to further strengthen the solidarity in the world of Islam.”
Located in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad, the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) is a popular destination for all people across the country and the Shia community around the world.
The holy shrine is especially a destination for millions of pilgrims throughout the year but it receives even more visitors during the Karamat Ten-Day celebrations that begins with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) and ends with the auspicious birth anniversary of her brother Imam Reza (AS).
