Leader stresses necessity of “leading, perfect” seminaries
The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has stressed the necessity of a “leading, perfect seminary” that is innovative, reformed and ready to propose guidelines for the ruling systems.

The Leader made the remarks in a message issued on the 100th anniversary of the reopening of the Qom Seminary, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Leader opened his message with the background of the establishment of Qom Seminary and said,” An honor for the Qom Seminary is that a leader like late Imam Khomeini (RA) rose from it, uprooted the corrupt Pahlavi regime at the hands of people and re-established Islam in the political system of the country.”
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the seminary is not an institution for education only, but a combination of science, training, social and political pedagogy.
The Leader hailed the Qom Seminary as a hub with massive Shia knowledge compiled by thousands of religious researchers throughout a thousand years.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that a key mission of the seminary is to respond to questions regarding Islamic system and management of the society.
In yet another section of his message, the Leader called the seminary as an extrovert institution whose output would contribute to the society, people and Islamic culture.
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted development of concepts through “eloquent rhetoric” as the most important responsibility of the seminary through which a vast number of Islamic teachings including on lifestyle, environment and other aspects of life will be promoted among people.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution concluded his message with recommendations for materializing “leading and perfect seminary” among them increasing the relations with people, maintaining optimistic view on the younger generation and also compiling the seminary lessons based on responsive and positive fiqh.
