The Friday prayer leader of Tehran hailed the massive participation of the people in the funeral procession of President Raeisi and his companions calling that a renewal of vows with the Islamic Republic.

Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami, in his Friday sermon, said the high turnout of the people in the funeral ceremony of President Raeisi and his companions conveyed several messages for enemies of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric said the second message of the great funeral processions held in different cities across Iran was an expression of gratitude for those serving the country.
 
According to the senior cleric “unity and compassion” was the third message received from the mourning ceremonies as he called on the officials-to-be to fulfill their duties.
 
Ayatollah Khatami also hailed to the foreign officials and ambassadors from 90 countries who paid tribute to late President Raeisi and the martyrs of the helicopter crash calling that an instance of Iran’s successful foreign diplomacy.
 
Millions of people from across Iran attended the funeral procession of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions held in Tabriz, Tehran, Birjand and the holy city of Mashhad during the five days of national mourning in Iran.
 
President Raeisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Friday prayer leader of Tabriz, Ayatollah Al-e Hashem, Malik Rahmati the governor of East Azarbaijan were among the passengers on board the helicopter that crashed in northeast Iran on Sunday.
