Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, met with the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund warning of the worst humanitarian situation in the Arab country.

Peter James Hawkins in this meeting submitted his appointment papers as UNICEF Resident Representative in the Republic of Yemen as the Minister for Foreign Affairs wished the UNICEF Resident Representative success in his new assignments.


Yemen is witnessing the worst human-made humanitarian catastrophe created by the aggression coalition countries.
 
 
Children and women have been among the most affected groups in society by the aggression and blockade against Yemen.


Minister Sharaf indicated that the new UNICEF Resident Representative would find all forms of support and cooperation to facilitate his functions.
