Online memorial ceremony to mark late Ayatollah Taskhiri on Friday

Following the passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, top Shia cleric and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs an online memorial service is scheduled to be held on Friday August 21.

Scheduled by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, an online memorial service will be held live on Friday August 21 to mark the high character of late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, former secretary general of the top Islamic unity body, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The ceremony is scheduled to be held live on Youtube and instagram at 6:30- 8:00 pm Tehran time (2:00-3:30pm GMT).
 
Also the bureau of Supreme Leader has scheduled a ceremony to be held in Feyziyeh School in the Iranian holy city of Qom on Thursday August 20 maintaining health protocols against the new coronavirus.
 
The ceremony will be held in collaboration with Society of Qom Seminary Teachers, supreme councilof seminaries, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and World Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
 
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri was an advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, member of the Assembly of Experts and had served as former secretary general of top Islamic unity center in Iran, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
Having spent over five decades of his life for promotion of Islamic teachings and solidarity among different Islamic denominations, the top cleric passed away due to heart disease on Tuesday.
