“Ayatollah Taskhiri, pioneer of Islamic proximity against Takfir”, Ammar Hakim

Head of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement has extended sympathy over the recent demise of senior Iranian cleric, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, hailing the leading Islamic unity figure who passed away due to heart disease on Tuesday.

Seyyed Amar Hakim, prominent Iraqi Shia cleric, in a condolence message offered sympathy with the Iranian nation and government over passing of advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iraqi cleric in his message highlighted struggles by Ayatollah Taskhiri for promotion of unity among Islamic denominations and years of fighting against Takfiri (excommunication) ideologies within the world of Islam.
 
Ayatollah Taskhiri was leading Iranian figure promoting Islamic teachings across the globe. The late scholar was widely known for endeavors to boost solidarity between different Islamic denominations.
 
He passed away aged 76 in a hospital in Tehran and his body was laid to rest in the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) in Qom on Thursday.
