Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking at Iranian state television, on the high character of the slain commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) he found in a trip to Syria en route to Lebanon, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Seyyed Razi Mousavi served in the path of jihad (struggle for God) and attended several operations for more than 30 years but it was only after his martyrdom that his high character and his contributions were known by the people.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari added,” The school of Lieutenant Soleimani found modesty and anonymity as a privilege and those who follow the teachings of martyr Soleimani behave so.”

The cleric added,” The school of Martyr Soleimani has trained people who are totally different from the school known as mundane liberal school.”

The senior IRGC commander, Seyyed Razi Mousavi, was martyred by the Israeli regime on Monday while on an advisory mission.

Mousavi was one of the companions of Iran's top anti-terror commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

On Thursday, thousands of mourners thronged the iconic Imam Hussein Square in the Iranian capital Tehran to pay their homage to Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi.
Earlier, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei led the funeral prayer for the slain general.
