He said: The formation of a 20-million-man gathering across the country, between Najaf and Karbala and in Karbala, is a manifestation of their love and affection for Imam Hussain (as).

The president said: "All of us in this great gathering around the world want to announce that if we were not in Ashura and in Karbala, and Imam Hussian's enemies killed his 6-month-old child, and companions, and we were not there to help him, but we heard the plea and today we are shouting " Labbaik ya Hussain " from here.
 
He added: Imam Hussain (as) and his companions were martyred so that the name and memory of Imam and Ashura did not remain, but it was God's will that Ashura, instead of being the end, was the beginning, and instead of Ashura remaining in Ashura, it was passed down through the ages and generations.
