Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks in a Sunday meeting with a senior Hezbollah official, Sheikh Hassan al-Baghdadi at the headquarter of the Iranian Islamic body in Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He emphasized necessity of confronting seditionists by defending the concepts like human rights and justice.
Still in another part of his remarks, the Iranian scholar referred to importance of establishing a union of Islamic countries.
The Lebanese cleric for his part, quoted late Imam Khomeini (RA) stressing that the hands of strangers must be severed from the Islamic countries and added,” Israel is that very stranger and we believe if Israel is eliminated then the Islamic countries will be cleansed of the strangers.”
Sheikh Hassan al-Baghdadi hailed the operation al-Aqsa Flood for boosting unity among Islamic denominations and said,” This operation stood for solidarity of the Shias and Sunnis and once we win this battle, then the enemies will struggle to undermine the solidarity achieved in this operation.”
He warned against a new ideological war to be sparked by the enemies after the al-Aqsa Flood Operation is over and noted that Muslims should be prepared for that war.
