Egyptian scholar urges for intl. laws to criminalize desecration of all religious sanctities

The Secretary General of the International Organization to Support Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has condemned the frequent desecration of holy Qur’an as a challenge for more than two billion Muslims across the globe.

Sheikh Muhammed al-Saqir, in an interview with Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reacted to the ongoing desecration of Islamic sanctities and said the organization has demanded passing a law that criminalizes sacrilege of all religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He called economic sanctions an effective factor and a weapon against frequent desecration of different religions and said,” That is because the west perceives the languages of power, money and economy.”
 
Muhammed al-Saqir noted,” The International Organization to Support the Prophet of Islam has played an effective role in calling for sanction of the Swedish products following the latest desecration of holy Qur’an.”
 
He added,” The ongoing desecration and supports for Qur’an burning by some Swedish officials has hurt the feelings of more than two billion Muslims across the globe.”
 
The Secretary General of the International Organization to Support the Prophet of Islam hailed Turkey over its stance against and the condemnation of Qur’an burning.
 
The International Organization to Support the Prophet of Islam was founded by 50 Islamic scholars from various Muslim countries was started by Egyptian scholar Sheikh Muhammed Saghir in 2020.
