At least 28 people have lost their lives as powerful blast rocked mosque in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Monday.

A suicide bomber has reportedly detonated the bomb among 150 worshipers, including police officers from nearby police station, in Peshawar leaving more than two dozen people killed and several more injured.
 
As a result of the explosion, the roof of the mosque collapsed and injured many, a local police officer said.
 
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
 
The injured, some in critical condition, have been taken to hospitals and rescuers continue search for bodies under the debris.
 
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack in a statement issued immediately after the incident.
 
He stressed that those behind the attack have nothing to do with Islam voicing solidarity of the entire nation against the menace of terrorism.
 
The explosion happened during the afternoon communal prayer.
