Friday prayer worshipers in the capital Tehran have held rally following the weekly ceremony to condemn the derogatory cartoons by French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Worshipers slammed the French magazine over the cartoons desecrating the religious and political leader of Islamic Republic, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Protesters also voiced their anger at the intervention of France and other European countries in the domestic issues of Iran urging for serious reaction against the French government and authorities.
 
Part of the final statement issued by participants in this protest reads,” We condemn the intervention of the western countries particularly France, UK and Germany in the domestic issues of Iran and their support for the rioters.”
 
The statement also called on the committed artists and elites to carry out their mission in reaction to the desecrating cartoons by the French magazine.
