Badran made the remarks in a statement on Saturday on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Abu Ali Mustafa, the secretary-general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
“On this anniversary, we reaffirm our adherence to the resistance option regardless of the cost, and we will continue to develop our teamwork with our comrades at the PFLP and with the other resistance factions,” the Hamas official said.
He added that all the resistance factions would not cease their efforts to build a resistance strategy capable of achieving the Palestinian people’s aspirations for the liberation of their land and holy sites from the occupation.
Abu Ali Mustafa, former PFLP secretary-general, was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his office in the West Bank City of Ramallah on August 27, 2001.
