2,500 police forces to secure Eid al-Adha ceremonies in Islamabad

2,500 police forces will be protecting security of nearly 1,500 mosques across the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Eid al-Adha.

The security plan by Pakistan’s police department has divided the mosques and religious centers in Islamabad into three groups to be monitored by four observant police and 11 deputies.
 
More than 150 executives will be at special branches to collect information and a special squad will be patrolling at markets, cemeteries and prayer venues.
 
Taher Iqbal, speaker of the police said all demands for leave on Eid al-Adha have been cancelled and more than 2,000 police officers will be at work.
 
All worshipers will be inspected before entering the mosques and special gates will be installed at the entrance to public places.
