Iran's policy is expansion of relations with neighboring countries

Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, met with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the Turkmen delegation in the capital Tehran on Wednesday morning stressing expansion of mutual relations as beneficial for both countries.

The Leader warned of regional and international agents against friendly ties between Iran and Turkmenistan stressing that this issue should be resolved, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).     
 
Supreme Leader noted that to overcome the hurdles created by enemies summons resolution by both countries.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei also noted," The Committee of joint cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan should be active and agreements between the countries should be pursued and finalized."
 
Turkmenistan President for his part counted expansion of relations with neighboring countries on top of the agenda for his government and said," We are endeavoring to boost the friendly ties between the Islamic Republic and Turkmenistan in different arenas including gas, electricity, transportation and also greater plans."
 
Serdar Berdimuhamedow referred to three decades of friendly relations between the Islamic Republic and Turkmenistan and appreciated Iran for constant supports and deep relations with his country.
 
Turkmen President heading a delegation of officials arrived in the capital Tehran on Tuesday night.
 
Ahead of the meeting with the Supreme Leader, Serdar Berdimuhamedow was welcomed by Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi this morning before meeting and signing a set of documents and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to broaden bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.
