The summit aims to accelerate efforts to resolve the water crisis at the national, regional, and international levels.

The meeting started on Monday, June 6, and will continue until Wednesday, June 9.
The Tajik government is co-organizing the summit with the cooperation of the United Nations and other parties.

During a meeting with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Mehrabian announced the readiness of Iranian companies to assist Tajikistan in implementing technical and engineering service projects.

The Prime Minister of Tajikistan, while appreciating Iran's hosting of the signing ceremony of the cooperation document, described these documents as the basis for the development of cooperation.

Kokhir Rasulzoda also said that the horizon of cooperation between the two countries was more transparent than ever and that he was ready to expand trade relations.
On Tuesday, Ali Akbar Mehrabian also met with Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
The energy minister said Iran is ready to cooperate with Tajikistan in modern technologies.
During the meeting, the two sides referred to the successful holding of an international conference entitled "water for sustainable development" and stressed that the agreements made during a recent visit to Iran by Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon are the base for the promotion of trade relations between the two countries.
They also underlined the need to activate Iran and Tajikistan's private sectors as the driving force for the expansion of bilateral relations.
