Khatibzadeh: US main reason to halt Vienna talks
Since then, the parties have spoken of progress in the negotiations and the reduction of disputes, but the issue of guarantees and the removal of natural and legal persons from the red list and from the sanctions list is still one of the cases in which the United States violates the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has not adopted the necessary policy to resolve it.

In an interview with Al-Manar TV, Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, added that the agreement on the talks in Vienna is ready and waiting to be signed, but the United States has restricted the talks on some issues and had stopped it.

Khatibzadeh stated that the United States could not make a political decision on these issues, adding that "unfortunately, the Biden administration has taken some of the positions of the Trump administration instead of proving honesty in its speech."

"If the United States has the ability to make political decisions on the few remaining issues, we are ready to return to Vienna tomorrow, but we are waiting for P4+1 group  to prove that the United States is a party that fulfill its obligation  ," he said.

Khatibzadeh also said about the Tehran-Riyadh talks, that the two sides are trying to reach a common understanding on the points of contention.

The spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that what happened in the five rounds of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia was aimed at resolving disputes between the two countries. One of the important issues in these talks is the need to realize the rights of the Palestinian people.

Khatibzadeh stressed that the issue of Palestine is not a negotiable one and that Iran will remain committed to the struggle for the liberation of Holy Quds.
