Russian ambassador to the international organizations in Vienna posted on his tweeter account on Sunday stressing finalization of the Vienna talks as the best way to prevent negative trends in the region adding that the west is not ready for the move.

The new round of the talks to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) negotiations, with the focus on lifting sanctions on Iran, started on August 4 in Vienna and ended on August 8. 

In the new round of negotiations in Vienna, centered on the lifting of sanctions against Iran, which was held on the 4th to the 8th of August 2022, several proposals were made by Enrique Mora, the coordinator of the European Union.

 Nasser Kanaani made the remarks on the occasion of the National Day of Combat against British Colonialism on his Instagram account.

"The Islamic Republic’s expert team examined the United States’ response carefully and Iran’s responses were compiled and submitted to the coordinator," Nasser Kanaani said.

The initial nuclear deal signed in 2015 by Iran, the US, UK, France, and Germany – as well as Russia, China, and the EU – involved Tehran agreeing to certain restrictions on its nuclear industry in exchange for easing economic sanctions and other incentives.

An advisor to Iran’s negotiating team to nuclear talks says the concessions made in Vienna talks has irked the western and Saudi-sponsored media.

Iran’s senior negotiator to Vienna talks says has posted on his twitter account on Wednesday saying that the United States must seize the opportunity offered by JCPOA partners.

 Attending his weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kanaani said about the Vienna talks that messages were exchanged in recent days, and Josep Borrell proposed a text based on the past negotiations and the parties received it, and Iran also received these proposals.

Enrique Mora wrote that he had a working dinner in Brussels with Joseph Borrell and Robert Malley.

Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, answered reporters' questions at a weekly press conference with domestic and foreign reporters on Monday, explaining the latest developments in the field of foreign policy.

"We NEVER hesitate to neutralize sanctions," added the foreign minister.

On May 8, 2018, the United States unilaterally withdrew the internationally-signed JCPOA.

 Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.

 "The United States is not going to give a gift to Iran, it has violated the rights of the Iranians and it has taken things from the pockets of the nation that it must return."
