Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian will be visiting Syria following his trip to Iraq to participate in Baghdad conference on August 28.

Iran’s newly appointed Foreign Minister travelled to Iraq for the first of his foreign trips after taking office to attend the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
He stressed Tehran’s enthusiasm for any regional initiative by Iraqi authorities with the participation of the people.
Iranian top official said that Syria should have been invited to the summit as an important neighbor of Iraq.
“We will consult directly with Damascus about the Baghdad summit and lay emphasis on the important role of the countries in the region in any regional initiative” added Iranian FM.
Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan were among participants to Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership on Saturday August 28.
