Hezbollah says importing Iran's fuel is humiliation for US

Secretary General of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah said fuel delivery from Iran implies breaking the siege on Syria and Lebanon and is a humiliation for the United States.
Hezbollah says importing Iran
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in his latest televised speech delivered on Sunday said the US proposed bringing fuel from Egypt and Jordan only after the resistance movement announced bringing oil from Iran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said Lebanon had tried to bring fuel and electricity from Jordan and Egypt but failed only because of the US veto and added," This fuel delivery from Iran implies breaking siege on Syria and Lebanon and is in fact humiliation for the United States."

Within a few hours after Hezbollah made an announcement on Thursday that Iran would send fuel to Lebanon, US ambassador to Beirut Dorothy Shea informed Lebanese President Michael Aoun that Washington will help Lebanon to receive gas from Egypt.

The announcement on US proposal to "secure financing for the Egyptian gas to repair and strengthen electricity transmission lines" was made by Michael Auon in a tweet on Thursday following the US ambassador informing the president on the US proposal.

"The American ambassador is selling illusions to the Lebanese" said Hezbollah secretary general welcoming any initiative to import electricity and gas from any country.

He added," What is important to us is our nation and their problems" and slammed the Biden administration for preventing the countries that have volunteered to help Lebanon with the electricity and fuel crisis.
