Turkish ambassador to Tehran has extended condolences of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over recent passing of top cleric and advisor of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.

Derya Ors, Turkish ambassador to Tehran conveyed the condolence message from Turksish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a phone call with Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Top officials, political and religious figures from different countries have extended sympathy with Iran over the recent passing of prominent Islamic unity figure and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs.
 
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, aged 76, passed away due to heart disease on Tuesday. The cleric was globally renowned over years of promoting Islamic teachings and solidarity among different denominations.
