A delegation of  members from Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of thought met with Sheikh Badr el Din Hassoun, top Syrian Mufti, to discuss the upcoming summit of the Union of Resistance Scholars, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Syrian cleric in this meeting warned against the serious threat of Takfiri (excommunicating) extremists and stressed importance of boosting unity among Muslims.
 
Backed by western and some Arab states, extremist Takfiri groups have been committing grisly crimes and executing Syrian civilians excommunicating both Shia and Sunni Muslims.
