The fighting between forces of the interim government in Syria and loyalists of former president has intensified killing more than 1,000 people, most of them women and children.

WHO spokesperson Margaret told a UN press conference that according to figures from the government in Sudan, 413 people have died and 3,551 injured in the conflict.
