Police in the United Kingdom has detained 33 pro-Palestine activists during a protest siege of an Israeli-owned factory manufacturing drones in Leicestershire.

Called for by the Maryland-based MD 2 Palestine, the activists first gathered in front of the Washington Monument in DC and marched through the busy downtown streets of the city waving Palestinian flags and banners and chanting in support of Palestine, including “No more money for Israel’s crimes”.

The group said the march was held in several cities, including Derby, Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester.

Residents of the village, rights activists and international supporters took part in the march, during which they waved flags of Palestine and banners rejecting Israeli apartheid.
