World leaders felicitate Iran’s newly-elected president

Leaders from across the globe have felicitated Iran’s new President, Masoud Pezeshkian, who has been elected as the head of the executive in a snap election in the country.

Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad and Iran’s president-elect Masoud Pezeshkian exchanged views on several issues in a telephone conversation on Tuesday.
Tehran-Damascus bilateral relations and enhancing the ties in multiple fields were discussed in this conversation.
Masoud Pezeshkian stressed Iran’s support for the resistance axis and also implementation of the agreements between the two countries.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, congratulated Iran’s newly-elected president on his victory in the race.
Armenian state media reported that the two sides stressed commitment to the agreements and emphasized necessity of a meeting to discuss various issues soon.

Also, Azerbaijan President, Ilham Aliev, felicitated Masoud Pezeshkian on his victory and invited the Iranian President-elect to visit the neighboring country soon.
The two sides stressed that the bilateral ties between Tehran and Baku are rooted in the shared religious and cultural topics and fraternal relations.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, in a phone call with the Iranian President elect, stressed his determination to expand ‘strategic long-term relations’ with Tehran and called for a high-level meeting with Iranian officials in near future.
In an earlier message published on his X account, the Venezuelan President stressed importance of maintaining fraternal relations, friendship and cooperation between Tehran and Caracas.
Venezuelan government in a statement, issued following the victory of Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, said that the decision by Iranian people will prove the country as a new power in the multi-polar world, regarding the key role it plays for establishment of peace and global development.
Iranian President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, has received messages from senior officials and leaders from across the globe as he stresses Tehran’s commitment to agreements with the world countries following his victory in July 5th Presidential race.
