Cleric calls for strategies to counter Islamophobia

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has hailed the Sisak Islamic center calling for endeavors to confront Islamophobia as part of enemies’ plots.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his speech at the Islamic center of Sisak in the southeast of the Croatian capital Zagreb, hailed the religious educations at the center and called for following appropriate strategies to confront Islamophobia, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He stressed importance of scientific competence of the Muslims and said efforts for that end would increase the responsibility of prayer leaders and religious figures.
 
The Iranian scholar enumerated arts and aestheticism, knowledge and Islamic ethics as the three factors to set the Muslim community in a high status in the community.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the visit to the Islamic center of Sisak in part of his trip to Croatia. The cleric also attended the international conference on “Philosophy in Islam” and met with a number of Muslim and Christian scholars from the country.
