Maulavi Abdulraoof Tavana, the founder of Fajr-e Bidari Radio Chennel from Afghanistan, in his speech in a webinar at the 37th Islamic Unity Conference noted that the commonalities of different Islamic denominations should be highlighted as was the tradition of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the early days of Islam, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported.

He said,” A clear message of holy Quran is that people refrain from disunity and discord” alluding to verse 103 of Sura Al-e Imran calling on Muslims to hold fast to the God’s cord and abstain from quarrel with each other.
 
 He noted that differences to be a natural phenomenon and warned of “division” as a threat.
 
Maulavi Abdulraoof Tavana noted that the commonalities of Muslims should particularly be highlighted when it comes to differentiate believers from non-believers.
 
Afghan cultural figure made the remarks in his address to the 12th webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference held on Saturday.
 
Held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Muslim scholars and religious figures from across the globe exchanged views on the issues challenging the world of Islam in the 37th Islamic Unity Conference (IUC). Participants also discussed the theme of this meeting “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is the climax of the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
