Leader hails membership in two intl. alliances as great success

Ayatollah Khamenei, in an address to President Ebrahim Raeisi and cabinet members, lauded the satisfactory operation of the government in “infrastructural projects”, “macroeconomic indicators” and “foreign policy”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Leader of the Islamic Republic has admitted President Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi and the cabinet members on the occasion of the Government Week in Iran which marks the martyrdom of former prime minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar and president Ali Rajaei in an explosion in August 1981.

As the achievements in the foreign policy, the Leader, stressed the satisfactory status of the country in the international arena as the founders and members of some world alliances welcome, sometimes stress, Iran’s joining their bloc.

The Leader called for leading all conflicts towards cooperation and stressed establishment and boosting relations with the different continents naming South America, Africa, Asia and East Asia saying,” The policy of building relations with countries with diverse political, climatic, economic and cultural background is the correct diplomacy.”

Ayatollah Khamenei praised the measures taken by the government in foreign policy including relations built with the neighboring countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei underlined using the opportunities to build relations with different countries and also finalizing the long-term agreements and noted that such agreements should not be left merely on the paper.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution criticized the politicians who limit interaction with the world countries to some western countries and said,” The old-fashioned view should be left behind” adding,” The scale for building international relations is to maintain national pride where there no domination is imposed or admitted.”

Speaking on the economic achievements, the Leader referred to the growth of the macroeconomies particularly in industry, growth of investment, reduction of unemployment and also increase of export among other successes gained by the government.

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated the function of the government in interaction with the people particularly direct and modest contact with the public.

The Leader once again stressed economy and culture as priorities to be maintained referring to the motto of the year on “Inflation Control and Production Growth.”

Ayatollah Khamenei noted support for production and elimination of problems on the path of manufacturers as two key solutions to increase production.

The Leader called on the government to maintain justice, elimination of social inequality, stability of the market, reduction of inflation and increase of production in the decisions made for the economy.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the sanctions target the nation’s livelihood and referred to the ongoing negotiations to lift sanctions.

As the meeting was held on the occasion of the Government Week, the Leader said,” Martyrs Rajaee and Bahonar believed serving the people would win the satisfaction of the Almighty God; therefore, the secret to all Islamic governments should be to win the satisfaction of Almighty God and serving the people.”

At the beginning of the meeting, President Raeisi provided a report on the issues challenging the cabinet since the early days it took office and also the achievements made by the government.

He said with the help of the people, the hostile plots to isolation of Iran and discouragement of the Iranian nation were foiled.

Other officials in the cabinet also provided a report on their conduct and the efforts by the government to overcome the issues.
