The International Quds Day conference in Nigeria was held mark the pro-Palestine protesters including three sons of Sheikh Zakzaki killed in July 2014 in the northern Nigerian city of Zaria, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The 35 people killed in the 2014 raid by Nigerian security forces were protesting in solidarity with the oppressed people in Palestine.

Participants stressed that the killing of pro-Palestine protesters was in violation of the law.

According to the lecturers the fact that no one has so far been prosecuted for the heinous crime is indicative of the continuation of impunity in Nigeria.

Participants also agreed that Sheikh Zakzaki has been steadfast, courageous and committed to the fight against injustice despite losing six children and hundreds of supporters.

Participants in the conference slammed the people responsible for murder of the 35 pro-Palestine protesters in 2014 urging that they will eventually be brought to justice.
