Thousands of Palestinians hold Eid prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque
Palestinian worshipers held the communal Eid prayer at the holy mosque in response to the executives in line with foiling Israeli plots, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The ceremony was held amid worsening atrocities by Israeli regime against Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque as part of efforts for Judaization of the city, expansion of Israeli settlements and also the plot for division of the mosque to Jewish and Islamic sections.

Palestinian MP Khaled Tafesh had earlier stressed that marching towards holy al-Aqsa Mosque to foil the Israeli plots for controlling the holy site and converting it into synagogue was a mandate for Palestinians.

He had called al-Aqsa a symbol of honor for Muslims urging for preservation of the mosque from Judaization policy of the Israeli regime.

Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is the second important occasion in Islam marked on tenth of Dhul Hijjah. The occasion marks the occasion when Prophet Abraham (PBUH) decided to sacrifice his son as a sign of total obedience to the Almighty God.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has also issued a statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to express regret that Eid Al-Adha coincides with the constant Israeli violations against the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its attempts to undermine its status and claim it as its own. He reiterated the OIC's unwavering support for preserving the Islamic identity and sanctities in holy al-Quds.
