Cleric stresses shared Islamic-Christian values

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the international economic forum in Russia and highlighted the shared values between Islam and Christianity as well as those common between Iran and Russia.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in a meeting with Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the “Russia-Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group in the Tatarstan capital Kazan stressed the role of the international conference in expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Moscow, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric referred to the new world order and reiterated importance of gaining an accurate perception of the future.
 
He praised the establishment of the “Russia-Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group as an admirable initiation and said the center will certainly provide opportunities for expansion of relations between Russia and the world of Islam.
 
The meeting between Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and Farid Mukhametshin was held on the sideline of the XIV International Economic Forum Russia in Kazan.
 
The XIV International Economic Forum Russia titled “Russia: Islamic World: Kazan Forum” was held in the Republic of Tatarstan.
 
The forum is counted a main platform for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world.
