Sheikh Ahmad Kabalan, Lebanese mufti, slammed the author of blasphemous anti-Islam book Satanic Verses, as the worst character who dealt his own history and legacy with lies and hypocrisy, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Following a stabbing attack targeting Salman Rushdie, Lebanese senior mufti referred to him as a part of west’s cultural operations who has combined Islamic heritage with lies in order to introduce the holy religion as a criminal heritage.

Sheikh Ahmad Kabalan said,” Salman Rushdie seeded hostility against Muslims in disguise of western culture.”

Touching upon western ideology, Lebanese scholar said,” They ruined the character of Roger Garaudy because of embracing Islam and transcended Salman Rushdie for his denial of the holy religion and playing the role of a cultural criminal.”

Sheikh Ahmad Kabalan noted,” Slaman Rushdie is an enemy of culture, humanity and the worst instance for freedom of expression.”

Salman Rushdie, the author of a blasphemous anti-Islam book, has been attacked by 24-year-old man Hadi Matar on stage during an event in New York on Friday August 12.

Rushdie is the author of “The Satanic Verses”, a blasphemous novel about Islam published in 1988 which sparked Muslims’ outrage across the globe.
