Iran: No restrictions on developing ties with Republic of Croatia
During a meeting with the Speaker and members of the Croatian Parliament, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran has no restrictions on the development of relations with the Republic of Croatia and the parliaments of the two countries play an important role in supporting joint relations.

Amir- Abdollahian pointed to the influential position of parliamentary diplomacy and balanced foreign policy in Iran's 13th administration and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no restrictions on developing relations with the Republic of Croatia and the parliaments of the two countries play an important role in supporting relations between the two countries.
He further noted the importance of improving the level of trade and economic relations between the two countries and expressed hope that the fifth round of the meeting of the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Croatia will be held soon.
Explaining the latest status of the negotiations on the lifting of the oppressive sanctions and the principled positions of Iran in this regard were among other topics discussed in the meeting of the Croatian Parliamentary delegation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
Also in this meeting, Zlatko Hasanbegović, Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Iran and Croatia, while expressing satisfaction with the trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran accompanied by members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and meeting with Iranian officials noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the first Asian country to recognize Croatia's independence.
He further mentioned Iran's recognition of Croatia as a golden leaf in the history of Croatian diplomacy and the history of relations between the two countries
Hasanbegović also mentioned the exchange of views and talks with Iranian officials on the development of relations between the two countries as one of the goals of the Croatian parliamentary delegation.
The Croatian parliamentary delegation, referring to the ancient history and many cultural commonalities between the two nations of Iran and Croatia, expressed its readiness to support the relations between the two countries and sign a document on cultural cooperation.
