WIPO: Iranian women ranked 19 among patent applicants

Based on a report of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Iranian women inventors were ranked 19 among the applicants for international patents.

Based on the report, Cuban women inventors ranked first in Cuba in 2021 with more than half of the country's patent applications.
According to WIPO, which includes data from 74 countries, the global average share of women in patents registered is about 17%.
