Imam Reza holy shrine hospitable to visitors from all religions, nationalities

German tourist to the Iranian holy city of Mashhad hailed the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), eighth Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) for hospitality towards all visitors regardless of their religion and nationality.

Talking about her experience in Mashhad and Imam Reza holy shrine, Hoffmann, a German business woman who was visiting the shrine for the second time, said: “The atmosphere of Imam Reza holy shrine is really peaceful; servants are doing their best and they are perfect in English language and have full information about the holy shrine”.

She further noted: “Although I did not have much time in Mashhad, I decided to visit the holy shrine because I had a pleasant memory from my first visit to the shrine”. 

Hoffmann also stated: “Services of the complex are offered in a comprehensive and gate to gate format; visitors and foreign visitors’ needs are all met, therefore”. 

Receiving tourists from all around the world following better situation of the pandemic in Iran, trained volunteer tour guides of the Deputy Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi accompany arriving tourists inside the holy shrine and offer them a comprehensive pack of information about the holy shrine, character and conduct of the Eighth Imam (AS) of Shia Muslims.
 
Providing them with an introductory video clip and giving them a tour inside courtyards and porticos, educated clergymen and tour guides also take care of the tourists’ misunderstandings and questions about Shia Islam and services of Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of Imam Reza holy shrine.
