Al-Quds Mufti raps Arizona Rep. over proposal to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque

Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, mufti of al-Quds in his statement has called on the international community for resolution to revive the rights of Palestinian nation denounced Rep. Paul Gosar for his proposal to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Top cleric in his statement noted," These racial remarks are in line with comments by radical Rabbi Yaakov Heimann who had made similar proposal" calling such remarks "dangerous" and manifestation of "racial" view in opposition with the global recognition of al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque as its gemstone.

He stressed that al-Aqsa Mosque belongs solely to Muslims; therefore, non-Muslims have no right to meddle in decision related to the holy site saying," Any decision to attack the holy mosque is in fact an attack against Muslims across the globe."

Sheikh Mohammad Hussein said," We call on the world countries to implement a resolution on Palestine and condemn the discriminative stance of the illegal Israeli regime and prevent their offenses against the rights of Palestinian nation, their lands and sanctities."

Al-Quds Mufti urged the Arab and Islamic nations to make the best to protect al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem al-Quds and prevent struggles for Judaization of the Islamic holy sites.
