Hamas invites foreign ambassadors to visit Gaza amid humanitarian crisis

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called on the foreign ambassadors to visit the besieged Gaza Strip and witness the critical humanitarian situation in the region following 15 years of Israeli siege.

Hamas has issued an invitation to call on the ambassadors from Australia, Argentina, Bhutan, Ukraine, Kenya, Guatemala, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Tonga and Dominica representing their countries in the occupied lands to visit the West bank and witness the critical humanitarian situation caused by 15 years of Israeli siege, reported Tqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Basem Naim, member of the international bureau of Hamas slammed Israeli regime for turning the Gaza Strip into an inappropriate place for living “world’s largest open-air prison.”
 
Naim stressed that the oppressive siege is a collective punishment of the Palestinians slammed by the international law as war crime depriving the people from a descent life.
 
He noted that children and youths composing 70 per cent of the population in the West Bank while the entire region is deprived of running water, electricity and medication.
 
He said,” 80 per cent of the people are below the poverty line while 50 per cent are suffering from unemployment and Palestinians do not have the right to travel abroad.”
 
The UN announced in its latest report released on Friday that 474 buildings belonging to the Palestinians in the West bank have been destroyed 150 of them constructed by foreign countries.
 
As a result of Israeli demolition of West Bank homes 656 Palestinians including 359 children have been displaced.
