Iran's health ministry appreciates Sunni scholar over anti-COVID campaign

Iran's health minister has hailed the people for utmost cooperation against the new coronavirus during the Laylat al-Qadr Nights and Eid al-Fitr ceremonies.

Saeed Namaki, health minister, expressed appreciation for the Sunni scholars in southern Iran over cooperation to skip the annual Eid ceremonies due to the new coronavirus cautions announced by the ministry, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He particularly lauded the people in Iran's southern Province of Khuzestan, where coronavirus red alert had been announced, for cancelation of the annual celebrations and gatherings held for Eid al-Fitr as part of their campaign to battle the new coronavirus.
 
Iran's health minister also appreciated the tribal heads and Sunni scholars to perfectly maintaining the health protocols during Eid al-Fitr prayer.
 
Iran has just passed one of the worst waves of the pandemic infection particularly in southern province of Khuzestan where the red alert had been announced since winter 2020.
