Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, lauded the late proximity figure Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam in the webinar "Ambassador of Unity and Resistance" held on the first passing anniversary of the Iranian cultural and political figure, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He hailed Iran's former ambassador to Syria as a prominent worldly-known figure whose contributions since early days of 1979 is recognized by all.
 
He highlighted the supportive stance of late Sheikh-ul-Islam for the resistance front and his all-out endeavors for the movement.
 
"He was always in pursuit of introducing the issue of Palestine as the common issue of all Muslims" said the cleric and added," He kept Islam as the sanctuary for foiling plots against the Islamic revolution and Islamic awakening during the past four decades."
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari referred to the contributions by Late Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam to hold the annual Islamic Unity Conference in Aleppo during his office as Iran's ambassador to Syria and said," He thought that unity of Islamic nation will not materialize unless in promoting towards bigger objectives, naming Palestine as the most important one of them.
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the comments in the webinar held on the first passing anniversary of Iran's former ambassador to Syria and member of the major Islamic unity center.
 
Late Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam (1952-2020) passed away in early March last year due to the new coronavirus.
