The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki received Head of Muslim Center in Caucus and Mufti of the Republic of Azerbaijan discussing the ways and means of promoting unity among Muslim nations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In the meeting, the two sides exchanged their views and ideas on the hows of countering terrorism, extrimist and Takfiri groups, and also the potential ways for boosting rapprochement, solidarity and unity among Muslims.


"In present situation the region is plunged into war and terrorism, preserving unity and Islamic solidarity is a necessity (upon all religious clerics and thinkers)," stressed the President of Iran top unity center.

"It is necessary that the elites sit at talks and think together for sorting out the standing setbacks in this area," underscored Ayatollah Araki.


"A joint meeting between the scholars of Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be held in this direction," added the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

It is noteworthy that the joint meeting between the scholars of Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan is to be mounted in Iran capital city of Tehran.


The attendees in the event are expected to review and discuss various roadmaps for confronting terrorism and extremist measures in the World of Islam as well as all non-Muslim countries across the globe.
