Ayatollah Araki attends Yemen martyrs commemoration ceremony

A commemoration Ceremony was held for Yemen Martyrs, in recent Saudi Arabia invasion on the country, with General Secretory of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in attendance, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki and some top religious scholars in attendance, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In the event top clerics and Islamic jurisprudents including Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani, Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Ayatollah Javad Fazel Lankarani and other religious attendees slammed severely massacres perpetrated by the regime of Saudi Arabia in Yemen.

The event which was mounted and organized by the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Al-Mustafa International University, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Jameatol Modarresin (the Society of Teachers).

Saudi Arabia started its military aggression against Yemen on March 26, without a UN mandate, in a bid to restore power to the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a close ally of Riyadh.

According to sources in the Yemeni army, around 2,600 people have been killed during the Saudi aggression.
The humanitarian situation in Yemen is rapidly deteriorating. Many international aid organizations have sought clearances to dispatch medical and other humanitarian supplies by air and sea to civilians in need.
