The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in a statement condemned severely Bahrain’s detention of Sheikh Salman, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Bahraini forces recently arrested Sheikh Salman, who leads Bahrain’s main opposition bloc, al-Wefaq National Islamic Society.

Sheikh Salman is charged with promoting regime change by force, threats, and illegal means and of insulting the interior ministry publicly.

The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought censured the Al Khalifa regime’s reckless treatment of the Bahraini people and called for the immediate release of Sheikh Salman and all innocent individuals incarcerated in Al Khalifa prisons.

According to the massage, on the occasion of Islam Prophet’s (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadeq’s (PBUH) birthday anniversary such measures running counter to the favors of all Muslims and Islamic countries in the region.
