“Quds, axis for solidarity of Islamic nation”

An Iranian Sunni cleric has called International Quds Day as landmark in history of Islamic unity and said common assets are set as axis for solidarity of all Islamic denominations.

Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami, member of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) called al-Quds Day is a reason for all-out support of the Muslim world for the oppressed Palestinian nation.
 
He said,” al-Quds and Palestine belong to the entire world of Islam and the need for liberation of Palestine is currently felt more than ever.”
 
The cleric called on the Islamic nation to fulfill its duties towards the Palestinian nation and noted,” The world of Islam should summon all its capabilities and mobilize its means for liberation of holy Quds and voicing the oppression of Palestinian nation.”
 
Molavi Salami hailed the initiation by late Imam Khomeini (RA) in naming the last Friday in the fasting month of Ramadan as the International al-Quds Day for the Muslims and freedom-seeking people across the globe to hold rallies and protest against the infanticide Israeli regime.
 
He also urged the Islamic ummah to voice its abhorrence of the occupying Israeli regime and warn its regional and international supporters.
