Islamic unity conference, cooperation against tension, boosting solidarity

Muslim scholars have unanimously announced that there is no basic disagreement over Fiq’h principles and the disagreements are due to different understandings from minor subjects.
Islamic unity conference, cooperation against tension, boosting solidarity
Mohammadreza Golrou, executive deputy at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) held on the sideline of the 21st Exhibition of Press and News Agencies, called the annual Islamic unity conference as cooperation between Muslim elites to uproot tensions and boost solidarity among Islamic communities.

He stressed the necessity of unity in the Islamic nation and said,” This led to formation of an organization so that Islamic Republic of Iran is recognized as pioneer of unity in the world of Islam and founds the first formal institution for Islamic unity in the world.”

He highlighted the efforts of the Islamic Republic to undermine the tensions between Muslim countries and increasing the solidarity among Islamic communities during the years that the world forum has been in charge of holding the Islamic Unity Conference.

“Probably, had it not been for the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the statuesque of the Muslim world could have been more dangerous thought we should not suffice to the activities performed until now.” Said the world forum deputy and added,” If we are witness to Daesh-led intrigues in the world of Islam, we should be more vigilant to increase our activities and know that the trouble lies deeper than where we think it is.”

Mohammadreza Golrou noted the increasing tendency of the Europeans towards Islam saying,” The west, in a bid to confront the waves of conversions to Islam, support Takfiri (excommunication) groups naming Daesh and Al Nusra so that unpleasant incidents are sent from within the world of Islam and sectarian wars break out between Muslims.”

He said,” They intend to show Islam as a threat for the world; hence, they target Islamic states one by one committing unbelievable crimes in each country.” highlighting the role of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for representing true Islam for the world people.

Executive deputy of the world forum referred to concentration on the people from different walks of life in the annual Islamic Unity Conference as a recent approach and guideline by the Supreme Leader and grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, former secretary general of the world forum, followed by the Islamic center.

He said,” Previous conferences focused on the scholars from different Islamic denominations with narrow discussions on Fiq’h issues though now we have come to a level of unity that Muslim scholars have unanimously announced that there is no deep disagreement between Islamic denominations and if there is any disagreement, that is due to different perspectives on the same subject and not a fundamental contrast between the views.”

He hailed the peaceful coexistence of the different Islamic denominations in Iran calling that the best manifest of solidarity criticizing efforts to inject and spread disunity into Islamic communities.

Mohammadreza Golrou also counted formation of local proximity centers income countries as a program for some Muslim countries and an effort to promote Islamic unity objectives.

“The first strategy of the world forum is to open the discussion of unity with scholars from different countries so that they form a board of elites and launch local proximity forums and this is our first message in line with not interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries.” he noted.

Referring to the committee of good office he called the forum as a version of peace committee including Muslim clerics and hailed formation of the Union of Resistance Scholars as a great achievement for the world forum.
