Spanish Prime Minister has stressed that his country does not intend to lift an arms embargo against Israel despite a ceasefire deal in the war-torn Gaza in effect.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has condemned the so-called Gaza plan proposed by the US President Donald Trump vowing that Madrid will not allow the plan for displacement of Palestinians to neighboring countries advance.

During their talks, Amir-Abdollahian expressed content with good relations between Iran and Spain and touched upon some good and positive developments in bilateral ties, adding, “We see no limits to the enhancement of relations between the two countries and we are always keen to use common ideas to promote issues of mutual interest.”
In a statement, Madrid called on Israel to "scrupulously respect the status quo of holy sites" and for all parties to "do everything possible" to avoid fresh tensions and preserve stability.
