Female detainees face extremely difficult conditions in Israeli jails, says Commission
Regarding the circumstances of her detention, the detainee told the Commission’s lawyer that the occupation forces detained her from her home at 3:00 A.M, tied her with chains, then took her to Ofer Prison where she stayed there until 6:00 A.M. before she was transferred her to the Beit El area until 9:00 A.M.
She said she was only allowed to go the bathroom once before she was taken back to Ofer Prison again for fifty minutes, during which she was subjected to interrogation by a plainclothes officer. She was then transferred to Al-Maskobiyya for 16 continuous days, after which she was transferred to Hasharon Prison. She was tied hand and foot for seven straight hours and without food.
She added that the prison administration tried to bargain with her and offered her to study for a master’s degree outside the West Bank on the condition that she would not return there again, but she refused.
