Several Palestinians injured in Israeli settlers’ attack on town in Ramallah

Tensions running high in the occupied West Bank as a group of Israeli settlers, backed by soldiers, raided a town in Ramallah injuring several Palestinians.

Local sources reported that a group of Jewish settlers attacked Burqa from the northern and western entrances, accompanied by large number of Israeli occupation forces (IOF), amid heavy gunfire.

During the raid, the settlers set fire to a barn belonging to a Palestinian man after slaughtering a number of livestock.

The settlers also attacked the residents who came to put out the fire, and injured many of them. Ambulances were also prevented from transferring the injured.

The Jewish settlers also tried to storm a house on the northern side of the village, and other houses on the western side, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

According to the official, Israeli forces joined in on the attack, firing sound bombs and toxic tear gas at the villagers. No injuries were reported.

Also, in southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli occupation forces cordoned off a mosque in Harmala village. The regime forces fired live bullets and tear gas canisters during the confrontations, however, no injuries were reported.

The attacks come in the wake of a violent raid by Israeli forces targeting Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank for more than 50 hours that killing 14 people.
