Iranian cleric hails army, IRGC support for Gaza

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has hailed Iran’s army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for their support for Gaza amid Israeli onslaughts against the besieged territory.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the comment in a meeting with Azmi Abdul Hamid, the chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations in Malaysia, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He highlighted the role of mosques as a hub of the youths during the Islamic Revolution in Iran that developed a network of activists to form the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in Iran saying,” In fact the IRGC was established in mosques.”
 
The senior cleric called on the Muslim countries to boost each other and stand conscious against their enemies and stressed,” If we strengthen our capabilities, then we can take measures against enemies.”
 
In another part of his remarks, Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari referred to the rights of the religious minority groups in Iran and across the world and stressed Iran’s support for them.
 
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted that a certain religious group might be minority in each country and named the Jewish community as an instance of in Iran whose rights are perfectly maintained.

 
Earlier in the day the senior cleric was welcomed in Iran’s embassy by the ambassador to Malaysia.
 
Vali-Allah Mohammadi Nasrabadi in this meeting elaborated on the latest cultural developments in Malaysia.
