OIC hails UN General Assembly resolution for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the UN General Assembly resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

The resolution was passed with an overwhelming 153 countries voting in favor, reflecting the international consensus and political will to end Israeli crimes against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza.

The OIC also called on the international community to compel Israel to immediately and fully comply with the terms of this resolution and put an end to the threat of the collapse of the humanitarian system in the Gaza Strip.
 
The international Islamic body also for decisive measures to end the military aggression and Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
 
Israeli fierce bombardment of the besieged Gaza has killed at least 18,400 people, most of them children and women.
 
The atrocities have destroyed or damaged more than 60 percent of the structures across Gaza.
